About Us
 Bridge Street Early Learning Centre is a community based centre that has contracted the Nelson Kindergarten Association to provide management and financial support.
The centre caters for children from 6 months to 5 years of age in two separate sections. In the Under two’s area the teachers work calmly, and gently when attending to children’s physical, emotional and learning needs, while providing a good model of language, showing respect and responding quickly and appropriately to children’s cues. In the over two’s area, teachers are enthusiastic participants in the programme, providing children with support, and encouragement to develop and extend activities that arise from their interests. Independence and self care is promoted.
Individual profiles are written for children sharing each child's journey through Bridge Street Early Learning Centre. Learning stories record children's interests and abilities, and inform parents/whanau of milestones reached.

FEES
Under Two’s section - $6.25 per hour.
Over Two’s section - $5.75 per hour.
Parents are able to attest 20 hours ECE at the centre for children aged between three and five years of age. This greatly reduces the cost of childcare. Parents may be eligible for the WINZ Childcare Subsidy to assist with fee payment. See more information on the "Useful Information" page.
