About Us
 At Birchwood Kindergarten we foster warm, supportive, and responsive interactions between teachers, children, family/whanau, and the wider community.
Positive guidance is modeled to children in a respectful and caring manner. The outcome of this is evidenced in calm, independent, trusting, skilled learners.
Birchwood Kindergarten has a magnificent outdoor learning environment, enriched by well established trees and open spaces. The area is used to explore, challenge, excite and to develop an appreciation of the natural world. The teaching team brings a wide range of skills and experience with particular strengths in empowering children, extending children's thinking and developing strong relationships.

FEES
Parents who do not attest their 20 hours ECE to the kindergarten, pay a fee of $3.84 per enrolled hour.
FAMILY CONTRIBUTIONS
All parents are asked for a Family Contribution of 30c per enrolled hour to cover additional costs not covered by the Ministry of Education funding. Parents can claim this as a donation for tax purposes.
